December 5-7, 2025

Billie's clinic is designed to help every team, from novice to advanced, build a stronger connection through clarity, timing, and understanding stock.  Her focus is on teamwork, confidence, and communication that hold up in any setting.

You'll learn how to:

  • Read livestock and apply pressure effectively; recognize balance and flow so your dog learns to work with feel and purpose

  • Shape natural instincts with fairness; develop control and respect without dulling drive or confidence.

  • Strengthen your timing and communication; guide your dog calmly and consistently under pressure.

Billie's "firm but fair" style emphasizes trust, respect, and mutual understanding between handler, dog, and stock.  Her goal is to help you see new potential in yourself and your dog; and to inspire confidence in every step of your journey.

Billie's Story

Billie Richardson of Canada is an accomplished stockdog handler whose journey from first-time Aussie owner to World Stockdog Champion is nothing short of inspiring.  With a background as a mechanical engineering consultant, Billie discovered her passion for working dogs after watching the Calgary Stampede's World Stockdog Championship.  What began with her first dog, Cosmo, a show-bred Aussie, soon evolved into a remarkable career marked by dedication, mentorship, and history making achievements.  Her legendary partner, HOF WTCH Dan the Man, became the first Australian Shepherd to qualify and run in the USBCHA Nursery and Open Finals, and later made history by winning the 2018 World Stockdog Championship; the first non-Border Collie ever to do so.

Today, Billie continues to train and compete with her talented Aussies while sharing her experience and insight with others.  Her training style is "firm but fair," emphasizing trust, respect, and understanding pressure between dog, stock, and handler.  Through her clinics, Billie inspires handlers to focus on their own journey, to build true partnership with their dogs, and discover what's possible through patience, feel, and confidence.
