Our Mission
Elevate awareness, education, and performance of the Australian Shepherd and other working breeds on a farm or ranch by providing engaging competitions and utilizing our state-of-the-art stockdog trial facility. This showcases the remarkable ability of stockdogs to expertly control livestock, bringing enthusiasm and skill to the forefront.
Arizona Working Aussies (AWA), is a non-profit organization 501(c)(7) affiliate club of the Australian Shepherd Club of America. We have members throughout the western united states. We host a number of ASCA Stockdog trials for all divisions (junior, novice, started, open, and advanced) and utilize a high caliber of stock classes using cows, sheep, and ducks.
With boundless enthusiasm and commitment to the betterment of the Australian Shepherd breed, AWA collaborates with ASCA to protect and advance these remarkable dogs. We are dedicated to providing numerous trials throughout the year, inviting not only Australian Shepherd owners but also other ASCA approved breeds to compete for titles in our exhilarating stockdog sanctioned events. It's a celebration of skill, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of showcasing these incredible breeds.

Strive to promote, educate, and assist all owners of the breed to improve their knowledge of the breed and it's history

Protect and advance the interest of the Australian Shepherd breed and to encourage ethical breeding practices and sportsmanlike competition at all dog trials.

Conduct stockdog trials and other events in the conformity with ASCA rules and regulations.

Encourage all breeders to accept the ASCA breed standard as the standard of excellence by which the breed shall be judged.
